The Journal of Economic Geology is a scientific, international and open access journal published by Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
The first issue was published in 2009 and this journal has received the following licenses:
- License of publication No. 88/7931 in date 09/12/2009 from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidence;
- License of Scientific – Research with the number 4143 in 31/07/2010 from Commission of Scientific Publications.
The articles of the journal are in Persian with English extended abstract (the English extended abstract is given at the end of the Persian article file). From 2009 to the end of 1397, it is published as a semi-quarterly (two issues per year) and from the beginning of 1398 as a quarterly (four issues per year).

Journal of Economic Geology provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. This journal is available free of charge for readers and writers.
